US Denied Bulk Of Fees In Veridyne Contract Row

Law360, New York (November 5, 2012, 10:41 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Monday ruled that the U.S. Department of Transportation can recover only a fraction of its legal fees from a contract fight it largely won against Veridyne Corp., saying the government had not documented its fees closely enough.

Judge Christine O.C. Miller of the Court of Federal Claims said the government is entitled to about $88,000 of the over $357,000 it asked for after winning a counterclaim against Veridyne in a messy contract dispute. The government did not accurately document its attorney time...
