Sharp Seeks US Docs For Korean CRT Price-Fixing Suit

Law360, New York (November 6, 2012, 5:55 PM EST) -- Sharp Corp., currently embroiled in Korean price-fixing litigation against Samsung Group and other cathode ray tube manufacturers, urged a California federal judge Monday to overrule a special master's recommendation and allow the company access to documents from a parallel U.S. antitrust case.

The Japanese company wants U.S. District Judge Samuel Conti, who's overseeing multidistrict litigation over the alleged CRT cartel, to reject Special Master Charles A. Legge's recommendation that the court quash Sharp's subpoena for more than five million documents from the U.S. case.
