Madison Square Loses Bid For Injunction Against NHL

Law360, New York (November 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Madison Square Garden LP has lost the first round of its lawsuit against the National Hockey League when a district court judge declined to issue a preliminary injunction on the league's plans to collectivize all team Web sites.

Judge Loretta Preska rejected the NHL's argument that the league is a single entity on Friday. But she ruled that Madison Square Garden did not present sufficient evidence that its hockey club, the New York Rangers, would be irreparably harmed if the league's new common management system goes...
