Boehner Open To Raising Revenue In 'Fiscal Cliff' Talks

Law360, New York (November 7, 2012, 7:03 PM EST) -- House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said Wednesday that Republicans will consider raising revenue to avoid the "fiscal cliff," while warning re-elected President Barack Obama that a new deficit-cutting deal must not be premised on higher tax rates or damaging cuts to military spending.

The position is a reversal from House Republican leadership's recent aversion to raising revenue, although some prominent Senate Republicans, including Sen.
