Berkley Properties To Pay $97M For Chicago BofA Tower

Law360, New York (November 9, 2012, 9:11 PM EST) -- A joint venture led by New York real estate investor Michael Silberberg of Berkley Properties LLC has struck a $97 million deal to purchase the 20-story Bank of America office tower in downtown Chicago, the buyer told Law360 on Friday.

Silberberg has teamed with Mark Karasick and Victor Gerstein of Manhattan-based 601W Cos. to take the 936,800-square-foot building at 231 S. LaSalle St. off the hands of its current New York owners, Gramercy Capital Corp. and Garrison Investment Group, Silberberg said.
