Bear Stearns' $295M Settlement With Investors Gets Nod

Law360, New York (November 9, 2012, 9:18 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge gave his blessing Friday to a $295 million settlement in multidistrict litigation over Bear Stearns Cos. Inc.'s alleged misrepresentations about its exposure to the subprime housing market before its collapse, overruling some investors who said the settlement was far too small.
