Chipotle Stiffs Workers On Overtime, Suit Says

Law360, New York (November 16, 2012, 6:10 PM EST) -- Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. on Thursday was hit with a putative class action in New York federal court alleging it failed to pay overtime wages to eligible employees in violation of federal and state labor laws.

Lead plaintiff and Chipotle employee Maxcimo Scott brought a proposed class action, accusing the Mexican restaurant chain of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act and New York Labor Law by incorrectly classifying certain workers as exempt from overtime, according to the suit.
