Scripps Paper Can't Duck Tax Incentive Defamation Suit

Law360, Houston (November 21, 2012, 8:10 PM EST) -- A Texas appeals court on Wednesday denied a bid by a Corpus Christi newspaper owned by E.W. Scripps Co. to dodge a suit by a businessman who claims the paper defamed him after he questioned a $40 million tax incentive to build a shopping mall.
