Land-Buying Scheme Ushered In $925M Bakken Buy, Suit Says

Law360, New York (November 26, 2012, 10:30 PM EST) -- A putative class of Native Americans on Monday sued purported middlemen in Williams Cos. Inc.'s $925 million purchase of mineral interests in North Dakota's oil-rich Bakken Shale, claiming they were part of a scheme to grab the mineral rights at undervalued rates and without other protections.
