California Sues EPA Over Emissions Waiver

Law360, New York (November 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- After threatening for months to take action, the state of California on Thursday filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for failing to act on its request for a waiver that would allow the state to curb greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles.

In a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the state accused the EPA of unreasonably delaying action on its waiver.
