YouTube Appeals Dismissal Of Copyright Case

Law360, New York (November 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Video sharing site Youtube Inc. has appealed the decision of a district court to let Robert Tur, a journalist who sued the company for posting a video he shot, drop his case and join a larger class action.

The company, a subsidiary of search giant Google Inc., filed its notice of appeal on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. It has requested a review of the court orders that granted Tur's motion to dismiss the case without prejudice and deny...
