HuffPo Tells 2nd Circ. It Never Vowed To Stay Independent

Law360, New York (December 4, 2012, 10:46 PM EST) -- The Huffington Post made no promises that it would stay independent ahead of its sale to media giant AOL Inc., the news site told the Second Circuit on Tuesday in a push to kill a class action unpaid bloggers brought over the deal.

An Internet startup like Adriana Huffington's popular site would have been crazy to make any kind of assurance that it would not one day go corporate, a lawyer for the Huffington Post told a panel of appeals judges at oral arguments.
