Trenton Mayor Indicted In Alleged Extortion Scheme

Law360, New York (December 6, 2012, 5:50 PM EST) -- Trenton, N.J., Mayor Tony Mack was indicted Thursday and now faces additional charges over an alleged scheme to accept $119,000 in bribes to help cooperating witnesses develop a parking garage on city-owned land.

Mack, 46, was arrested in September along with his brother Ralphiel Mack, and convicted felon and close political associate Joseph A. “JoJo” Giorgianni in an undercover sting that began in September 2010, two months after Tony Mack took office.
