Lockheed Investors Win Class Cert. In Securities Fight

Law360, Los Angeles (December 14, 2012, 7:22 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge on Friday certified a class of Lockheed Martin Corp. investors in a securities fraud lawsuit accusing the company of puffing up investor expectations about its information systems business despite the unit's struggle to maintain government contracts.

In a two-page order, U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff granted the plaintiffs’ motion to certify the class of all persons who purchased Lockheed Martin common stock between April 21, 2009, and July 21, 2009, and who claim they were harmed by Lockheed’s conduct....
