Simon Forms Mall Venture With Miller Capital, CalPERS

Law360, New York (January 3, 2013, 12:30 PM EST) -- Simon Property Group Inc. and a co-investment venture between an Illinois asset manager and the California Public Employees' Retirement System have formed a joint venture to operate two U.S. shopping centers, the companies announced Thursday.

Indiana-based Simon will partner with CalPERS and Miller Capital Advisory Inc. to own and operate the Woodfield Mall near Chicago and The Shops at Mission Viejo near Los Angeles. CalPERS and Miller Capital co-own Institutional Mall Investors.
