$8.8M Radio Shack Settlement Becomes Effective

Law360 (November 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The effective date for an $8.8 million coordinated class and collective action settlement aimed at resolving litigation accusing Radio Shack Corp. of misclassifying store managers as exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act's overtime pay requirements has passed, clearing the way for distributions to be sent out.

On Monday, Robert Thompson, an attorney for certain plaintiffs in the litigation, said the date contemplated in the settlement pact, which was approved by three federal courts, had passed on Friday.
