Big East Gets Extension To Address Rutgers Suit Over Exit

Law360, New York (January 8, 2013, 7:55 PM EST) -- The Big East Conference will have until the end of January to respond to Rutgers University's lawsuit to void a 27-month notice period before it can leave the college sports conference as well as a $10 million exit fee, according to a court filing Tuesday.

U.S. Judge Lois H. Goodman approved an extension of the conference's time to answer or otherwise respond to the complaint to Jan. 31. The parties already had agreed to that extension.
