Ex-Zynga Software Engineer Sues Over Unpaid OT

Law360, New York (January 15, 2013, 4:47 PM EST) -- Zynga Inc. was hit with a proposed class action Monday in California federal court by a former software engineer at the social media gaming firm accusing it of failing to give engineers proper overtime pay by misclassifying them as exempt from such wages.

In his complaint, Andrew Luo claims that Zynga had misclassified him and other similar engineers as exempt from overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and says more than half of their time was spent performing repetitive, nonexempt testing and quality assurance...
