Prologis To Build New Amazon Distribution Center In Calif.

Law360, New York (January 22, 2013, 4:43 PM EST) -- Industrial real estate developer Prologis Inc. said on Tuesday that it has inked a deal with online retail heavyweight Inc. to build a distribution center near San Francisco that spans over 1 million square feet.

Amazon's fulfillment center will be constructed on nearly 90 acres of land in Tracy, Calif., a strategic location given its proximity to major metropolitan centers on the West Coast, including the Bay Area, according to Prologis. The cost of the new facility was not disclosed.
