NYC Landlord Says Rent Overcharge Class Can't Fly

Law360, New York (January 24, 2013, 6:19 PM EST) -- A Manhattan building owner told a New York state appeals court Thursday that a tenant can't avoid the prohibition in the state's rent stabilization laws on class actions by waiving treble damages, part of a dispute over tax benefits from deregulating apartments.
