Ford Park-To-Reverse Case Shifts Venue

Law360, New York (November 28, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A California product liability case alleging that a Ford Grand Marquis self-shifted from park into reverse, dragging a woman 80 feet across a parking lot and seriously injuring her elderly mother, has been transferred to Ohio.

In an order handed down Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Judge Susan Illston granted Ford Motor Co.’s bid to transfer plaintiff Susan Farmer's case to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
