NFL Atty Clement Says Players' Contract Trumps Injury Claims

Law360, Philadelphia (April 9, 2013, 4:33 PM EDT) -- Former U.S. Solicitor General Paul Clement, who is representing the NFL against former players who say the league was responsible for their head injuries, asked a Pennsylvania federal judge on Tuesday to toss the multidistrict litigation, arguing that collective bargaining agreements preempted the claims.
