WTC Development Board Releases $1M For Arts Center

Law360, New York (January 31, 2013, 8:22 PM EST) -- A stalled project to develop a performing arts center on the site of the resurrected World Trade Center inched forward Thursday, when the city board tasked with rebuilding the New York landmark unlocked $1 million in seed money.

Lower Manhattan Development Corp.'s board of directors voted unanimously at its regularly scheduled morning meeting to move the sum, which was part of a $100 million allocation the board authorized approximately two years ago, according to Chairman Avi Schick, who presided over the vote.
