Kraft Sues Cracker Barrel Over Cheese Trademark

Law360, New York (February 1, 2013, 3:51 PM EST) -- Kraft Foods Group Inc. hit the operator of Cracker Barrel restaurants with a trademark infringement suit Friday, claiming the chain's recent move to sell packaged retail products threatens Kraft's Cracker Barrel cheese brand.

The two brand names have co-existed for decades, with Kraft using its mark to sell cheese in supermarkets and Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. using theirs to promote their Southern-themed restaurants.
