NJ Lawmakers Move To Extend Port Authority Probe

Law360, New York (February 11, 2013, 7:13 PM EST) -- A New Jersey General Assembly committee on Monday advanced a resolution to expand its own subpoena power so that it can continue probing toll increases and other controversial decisions at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey through the end of the year.

The resolution, AR-91, would extend the Assembly’s Transportation, Public Works and Independent Authorities Committee’s subpoena power over the bistate agency from its current expiration date in March until January 2014.
