MGM Resorts Seeks Return To NJ Gaming Market

Law360, New York (February 11, 2013, 6:25 PM EST) -- About three years after agreeing under regulatory pressure to sell its interest in Atlantic City's Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, MGM Resorts International announced Monday that it wants to come back to the New Jersey market as a fully qualified casino licensee.

MGM on Friday filed a petition with the New Jersey Casino Control Commission that could eventually enable it to secure a statement of compliance from the state and reacquire its interest in Borgata, which has been held in a divestiture trust without a buyer....
