Tower Auto Workers Settle ERISA Case For $5.7M

Law360, New York (December 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Lawyers representing workers in a battle with Tower Automotive Inc. over pension benefits have asked a court to approve a $5.7 million settlement with the bankrupt auto parts maker.

In a motion for final approval, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the plaintiffs' attorneys said the deal would terminate “hard-fought” litigation and distribute the mulitmillion dollar settlement to thousands of beneficiaries of Tower's various pension plans.
