Judge Dislikes Atty's Facebook Post On McDonald's Halal Deal

Law360, New York (February 13, 2013, 3:11 PM EST) -- A Michigan attorney was ordered last week to delete a series of Facebook posts criticizing a class action settlement over McDonald’s Corp.’s allegedly false advertising of chicken products as halal, and to turn over the names of anyone who “liked” the posts.

Wayne County Circuit Judge Kathleen Macdonald ordered Dearborn, Mich.-based attorney Majed Moughni on Feb. 7 to remove the “materially false, deceptive and misleading statements” he posted to the social networking site objecting to the $700,000 settlement.
