Time Warner Braces For Potential Waste-Disposal Fines

Law360, New York (February 19, 2013, 4:59 PM EST) -- Time Warner Cable Inc. signaled Friday that it could soon be facing significant environmental penalties from California state and local officials who are currently investigating the company's waste-disposal activities.

In its annual report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Time Warner said that the California attorney general and the Alameda County district attorney were looking into whether the company's waste disposal practices, policies and procedures violate state law, and that the officials were seeking injunctive relief, attorneys' fees and civil penalties.
