Apple Settles Suit Over Kids' App Game Buys

Law360, New York (February 25, 2013, 1:22 PM EST) -- Parents suing Apple Inc. over allegedly hidden charges in children's game apps asked a California federal court Friday to approve a settlement that would allow qualified class members to receive a $5 iTunes store credit.

Notice will be given to over 23 million iTunes account holders who made a “Game Currency” purchase in one or more apps, according to the proposed settlement, although the precise size of the proposed settlement class is unknown.
