Las Vegas Sands Says It 'Likely' Violated FCPA

Law360, New York (March 4, 2013, 12:56 PM EST) -- Las Vegas Sands Corp., the casino and resort company led by billionaire Sheldon Adelson, said late Friday that it had likely violated provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the latest development in a string of regulatory probes into the company’s U.S. and overseas operations.

The company said in an annual report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that a government regulatory probe into the company’s books had sparked an internal investigation revealing potentially illegal accounting misstatements.
