DOJ Up To 29 Plea Deals In Foreclosure Bid-Rigging Probe

Law360, New York (March 7, 2013, 7:50 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice on Thursday said that two California real estate investors have agreed to plead guilty for their part in bid-rigging conspiracies at public foreclosure auctions, bringing the number of people copping to antitrust crimes in the DOJ’s northern California investigation up to 29.

The DOJ said it brought felony charges against Peter McDonough of Pleasanton, Calif., and Michael Renquist of Livermore, Calif., in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
