Apple Blasted For Failing To Produce Docs In Privacy MDL

Law360, New York (March 8, 2013, 2:09 PM EST) -- A California federal judge ordered Apple Inc. on Wednesday to provide a detailed explanation of its discovery process after determining the company’s document production record in a consolidated putative class action over its data tracking practices was unacceptable.

U.S. District Judge Paul S. Grewal said the court could no longer rely on Apple’s representations as to the completeness of its discovery response after Apple’s counsel admitted in a Tuesday hearing that it had failed to fully comply with a November document production order.
