US Cos. Must Play By EU's Privacy Rules, Official Says

Law360, New York (March 8, 2013, 3:59 PM EST) -- European Union Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding on Thursday warned that Google Inc., Facebook Inc. and other companies operating outside the bloc must comply with the commission’s proposed rules tightening the EU’s data protection regime if they wish to do business on the continent.
