Feds Charge Contractors In NJ Employee Kickback Scheme

Law360, New York (March 19, 2013, 4:01 PM EDT) -- Two officials of a Pennsylvania construction company were arrested Tuesday on charges that they stole thousands in an employee kickback scheme during a reconstruction project at the Fort Dix military base, New Jersey federal prosecutors said.

Leonard Santos, 66, and Alex Rabinovich, 57, were arrested after a federal grand jury indicted them March 4 on five counts encompassing a conspiracy to obtain kickbacks from public works employees, malicious destruction of a vehicle by fire, travel in interstate commerce to commit a crime of violence, conspiracy to...
