Vizio Dropped From Zenith's HDTV Patent Suit

Law360, New York (December 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- High-definition television maker Zenith Electronics Corp. has agreed to drop claims of patent infringement against rival Vizio Inc. after the parties reached a “mutually satisfactory resolution,” according to court papers.

On Monday, Zenith filed a stipulation of dismissal with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, seeking court approval to drop claims and counterclaims issued by both parties over the past few months.

Zenith originally filed suit against Vizio and a handful of other HDTV manufacturers in October 2006.
