2nd Circ. Tosses Music Exec's Appeal Of E-Book Deals

Law360, New York (March 28, 2013, 4:10 PM EDT) -- The Second Circuit put an end Tuesday to eMusic founder Bob Kohn's bid to challenge the U.S. Department of Justice's antitrust settlements with three e-book publishers.

The appeals court granted the DOJ's motion to dismiss the appeal, which was technically challenging the district court's decision refusing Kohn permission to intervene in the case in order to appeal the final approval of the DOJ's settlements with HarperCollins Publishers LLC, Simon & Schuster Inc. and Hachette Book Group Inc.
