Fla. Senate Panel Approves Bill Amending LLC Statutes

Law360, Miami (April 1, 2013, 7:57 PM EDT) -- A bill that would update Florida's statutes on limited liability companies, which are particularly popular among real estate ventures, sailed through a state Senate panel Monday with no opposition.

The Florida Senate Judiciary Committee voted unanimously to approve S.B. 1300 after declining debate on the bill, which sponsor Sen. David Simmons, R-Altamonte Springs, says will modernize the state's laws on LLCs.
