American Airlines Ends Antitrust Battle Against Orbitz

Law360, Dallas (April 1, 2013, 6:42 PM EDT) -- American Airlines Inc. on Monday said it settled its claims Orbitz Worldwide Inc. conspired to thwart its efforts to compete for online flight booking business, bringing an end to more than two years of the airline's antitrust battles against ticket distributors.

In a joint statement, the companies said they've reached an agreement under confidential terms to end all litigation between the parties and would have no further comment on the settlement, which still needs review and approval from the judge overseeing the restructuring of American Airlines'...
