Jon Lovitz Hits Ex-Business Partner With $1.5M Fraud Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (April 3, 2013, 6:00 PM EDT) -- Comedian Jon Lovitz sued his former business partner in California state court on Tuesday, saying his Los Angeles Night Club in which he invested $1.5 million is in “financial disarray” after the so-called manager used the club as his own personal piggy bank.

The lawsuit raises allegations that Frank Kelley blatantly lied about his credentials and experience as a club manager and misappropriated significant funds that Lovitz entrusted to him for the operation of his Universal City, Calif., comedy club.
