Atlantic Sues To Avoid Covering Condo Defect Claims

Law360, New York (April 3, 2013, 3:31 PM EDT) -- Atlantic Casualty Insurance Co. has sued construction and development companies including Remtek Services Inc. and Herod Urban Renewal LLC to avoid coverage for litigation over allegedly widespread defects at a 101-unit condominium complex in Montclair, N.J.

The Siena Condominium Association initially sued developer Herod and other parties in 2011, blaming them for water intrusion issues, building code violations and other flaws.
