Reuters Under Attack After Firing Of Alleged Whistleblower

Law360, New York (April 4, 2013, 9:17 PM EDT) -- A former employee of Thomson Reuters Corp. sued the multinational news wire service Thursday in New York federal court, claiming the company fired him for reporting to the FBI that he suspected the firm violated insider trading laws by releasing a consumer survey two seconds too early.

Mark Rosenblum worked for Reuters as a redistribution specialist since at least 2008, but was terminated in August of last year, two months after he went to federal authorities to report his belief that the company broke the law...
