Nokia Gets OK To End Samsung LCD Price-Fixing Case

Law360, Los Angeles (April 5, 2013, 9:07 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Thursday granted Nokia Corp.'s voluntary dismissal of its antitrust complaint in multidistrict litigation against Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. after the parties agreed to settle the dispute over an alleged conspiracy to fix prices on liquid crystal display panels.

U.S. District Judge Susan Illston's approval of the dismissal came roughly two months after the parties said they had reached the confidential settlement agreement following a judge's denial of Samsung, Toshiba Corp. and Hitachi Ltd.'s request for partial summary judgment. The court's stipulation only...
