Encysive, Glaxo Target Barr For Blood Clotting Generic

Law360 (January 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Encysive Pharmaceuticals Inc., GlaxoSmithKline and Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. have filed a patent infringement lawsuit to stop Barr Laboratories from producing a generic version of anti-blood clotting Argatroban injections.

The suit was filed on Dec. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York after Barr submitted an Abbreviated New Drug Application, or ANDA, with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market a generic version of the injections.
