Diamond Pet Foods Settles Class Action For $3.1M

Law360, New York (January 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A company that was forced to recall contaminated pet food from shelves in 23 U.S. states has agreed to set up a $3.1 million fund to settle class action claims of negligence.

Plaintiffs' counsel Jim Andrews said Friday a Tennessee district court had given its preliminary approval to the settlement with Missouri-based Diamond Pet Food and the parties were now awaiting the court's final seal.
