9th Circ. Junks Donald Trump Institute's Defamation Claim

Law360, Los Angeles (April 17, 2013, 8:16 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit found Wednesday that a lower court erred when it didn't strike a defamation counterclaim by Donald Trump's business institute against a student who sued the institute in a class action over fraudulent business practices, ruling the company was not protected under California free speech laws.
