Ex-Jersey City Pol Pleads Guilty In Corruption Probe

Law360, New York (April 22, 2013, 5:00 PM EDT) -- A former Jersey City, N.J., council candidate once indicted for allegedly accepting $10,000 in corrupt payments from infamous cooperating witness Solomon Dwek pled guilty on Monday to a misdemeanor charge that she mishandled campaign contributions.

Under an agreement with prosecutors, 41-year-old Lori Serrano, a onetime chairwoman of the Jersey City Housing Authority, admitted before U.S. Judge Jose L. Linares to a superseding information charging her with improperly converting up to $1,000 in money of the United States.
