Yahoo Settles Infringement Suit Over Multimedia Patents

Law360, New York (April 23, 2013, 8:02 PM EDT) -- Yahoo Inc. on Monday settled an infringement suit filed by Preservation Technologies LLC accusing it and other media and technology giants of infringing its patents relating to multimedia data storage and communication systems.

U.S. District Judge David O. Carter on Monday signed off on the stipulation between Yahoo and Preservation Technologies after they said Friday that they had settled the claims between them. The terms of their settlement were not disclosed, and attorneys for Preservation and Yahoo could not immediately be reached for comment Tuesday.
