Bronx To Get World's Largest Indoor Ice Center In $275M Deal

Law360, New York (April 23, 2013, 5:32 PM EDT) -- The 575,000-square-foot Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx will be converted into a 750,000-square-foot ice sports facility for public use and hockey tournaments in a $275 million deal between the city of New York and a special purpose entity, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Tuesday.

Dubbed the Kingsbridge National Ice Center, it will include a 5,000-seat feature rink, nine year-round rinks and 50,000 square feet of community space, making it the largest indoor ice facility in the world, according to the city.
