VP-Turned-Rival Infringed Patents, Stole Secrets: Suit

Law360 (October 27, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A software developer stole trade secrets and infringed patented semiconductor-testing technology after launching a competing company, according to a federal lawsuit. The complaint will test the strength of intellectual property stipulations in employee contracts.

Test Advantage Inc., which makes equipment and software for testing semiconductors, sued software engineer Eric Paul Tabor and his wife for patent infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets and breaching an intellectual property contract. The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
